l1111 French Connection ? info please

Hi Everybody.

 

7 days French Connection out of Southampton August 1st, appreciate any thoughts on it from those that have done it before.

 

POC, weather etc

 

Myself and good lady wife considering along with my 87 year old active Mother.

 

This year we did Destiny in the Med with her.

 

We are regular FO cruisers with other couples, so just want info on this cruise.

I did a similar one on Braemar in July,it was a good cruise,although we did get a bit of sea fog and some overcast skies.

However it was very enjoyable and I would certainly do another cruise like it.:)

We were on the same cruise as Popsey Wopsey. It was excelent.

We went to Amsterdam,Antwerp, L'Orient.St Malo,St Peter Port and Honfleur.

 

I see you are doing two of these ports.

 

At St Malo we went to the Mont St Michel. A lot of walking, lots of steps, but a wonderful view when you got up there, and a very good guide who told us all the history of the place.

 

At L'Orient, we went on the shuttle bus to the beach, where there is also a very good market on a Sunday. Some people got off at the first stop, the submarine base, but as it was Sunday it was closed. We were glad we carried on to the end of the journey. The beach and the market were very good and the weather was kind to us that day. There is a small town near the place where the boat docks, but again, not much open on Sunday.
