tropical.dreams Posted December 27, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2010 I booked early saver and received a $50pp OBC when the price dropped to $239 for an inside cabin. The OV cabin is at my original price of $289. Will Carnival let me change my mind and give the OBC back to get the OV cabin instead?
truchattycathy Posted December 27, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2010 No, but you can pay the price difference and upgrade to the OV. You just pay the difference between your current price and the OV's current price. I book early saver insides on lower decks and wait for price drops, then usually use them to upgrade. With Earlysaver, you can always upgrade, just no downgrading. You just pay whatever the difference is to upgrade. You'll pay the extra $50pp now, but with your situation, you'd get it back in OBC on the ship. I love OV cabins. On the Destiny, you'd go from a 185 sq.ft. inside room to a 220 sq.ft. OV room. That extra space makes a big difference!
