pjsatc86 Posted December 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2010 We are sailing on Allure in March. We have heard that you can get PADI certified on board. We called RC and was told it was 5 hours of classroom, 5 hours pool and 2 open water. Does anyone know if the class room stuff is in the morning or afternoon? We have looked at some of the cruise compasses and can't find it. Also if any one has done this Allure or Oasis how was it?

We have looked at some of the cruise compasses and can't find it. Also if any one has done this Allure or Oasis how was it? I've inquired about this previously, but not with allure. The reactions were very negative about spending that much time of your vacation in a class room. After that I took an intro to scuba class locally which involved an hour or so (don't remember clearly) in a class room followed by an hour of pool time. I planned on getting certified prior to some future cruise. While looking at excursions on Allure, there is a 5 hour INTRO class in St Thomas that includes : f you have ever wanted to try scuba diving, here's your chance! Join in the fun of breathing underwater on the beautiful coral reefs of St. Thomas. After a short training session with your PADI Instructor, you will explore a beautiful shallow reef. All equipment included. This tour is only offered on certain ships.
