...does anyone know if there is a door access in the balcony partitions? I am asking this because our friends will be in the next cabin to ours and we would like to be able to share our balconies without having to go through our rooms... Thanks for any information.

This has been a source of some confusion. While the partitions on most balconies do open, it is only meant for cleaning so the whole row can be cleaned at once or for maintenance.

Most ship's captains are absolutely not allowing the heavy, cumbersome partitions to be opened during cruises.

There is no door to the next balcony in the partitions. Sorry, I know that's not what you want to hear. We've had the same desire.
