Does Carnival accept American Express?

I know, I could call Carnival with this question, but it's quicker and easier to ask here. So thanks in advance for your reply. I was thinking about getting an American Express card to use strictly on cruises. I've never had an Am. Express but know that at one time, they were not universally accepted like Visa & Mastercard. Has that changed? Thanks.

PS - Edited to add that I meant to say I'd be using it on the S&S account, not for paying the cruise fare.

I used my American Express platinum card for my S&S account last year without any problems.

That's what we use. We also use it to pay for any travel vacation stuff to get the extra points

Grits - yes Carnival accept AmEx as others have said. Although if you are planning to use that credit card in port, there may be some difficulties.
