Snorkeling at Bannister

Does anyone know if Banister Island is open again or still with construction ongoing. We are booked with Island Marketing in early Feb. but understood Banister was closed in January. Anyone know is it ist still closed? Thanks!

I'd like to know too. We'll be going in May. Is this the best beach area? Is it safe?

The only tour company I could find allowed to take passengers there is Coral Breezes. They have a contract with the owner of the island from what I understand.

I'll be there on Jan 27th I can report back on my return.

Looks like Island Marketing is going to Goff's Caye? instead of Banister Island. I think it will be fun anyway. Although I wanted a beach chair for my DH. :rolleyes:

I am assuming you are back from Bannister Island. Can you give us a report please?
