I have a friend who is scheduled to be traveling on a cruise in March with her husband and her step son. I believe that they are getting their certified birth certificates but what other documentation will she need for the child?

 

If she needs a notarized letter from the other parent and the other parent will not do this, what can be done?

Her husband can bring the divorce decree that states he can take his son out of the country and he has full custody.

There is also a form from NCL available for this. It authorizes one parent to take the child out of the country with consent, and is also used if you're taking your kid's friend, cousin, etc. along with you.
