Water taxi to Bannister?

We will be in Belize aboard the Carnival Glory on March 23, 2011. I tried to book the Bannister tour with Coral Breeze, but this is the message I get: "Carnival Glory Passengers: Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate the port schedule of the Glory on March 23, 2011 for our boat tours, including our excursions to Caye Caulker and Bannister Island."

 

:eek: We are really bummed. Bannister was really the only thing we wanted to do in Belize.

 

So my question is, does anyone know if you can get a water taxi to Bannister & back or do you HAVE to go with a tour? We know you can take a water taxi to Caye Caulker, so I'm hoping the same is true with Bannister.

 

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

There is no scheduled service to Banister, as it in not a community, But a private island for cruise ship passengers.
