flaka Posted February 28, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2005 It's me again, in my balcony dilemma... could any one of you balcony veteran's help me out with the best deal for my money? The balcony prices are confusing me a bit, especially since I don't really know the difference between the difference classes. (I did look on the map, but with never having a balcony before, I'm still a little lost.) ALSO - If I do the E2 I have the option doing a Guarantee... anyone have any opinions on the chance of an upgrade and whether it is worth it? (If there's not too much of a difference in all of these, I'd probably just go with the D2 since it is cheapest) D3 - Superior Oceanview Stateroom $1,239.00 D2 - Superior Oceanview Stateroom $1,209.00 D1 - Superior Oceanview Stateroom $1,259.00 E2 - Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $1,249.00 E1 - Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom $1,269.00 Thanks in advance!!!! flaka Posted February 28, 2005 Author #2 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Oops -- PS - I'm looking on the May 15 Mariner in case that makes a difference...
Crockett Posted February 28, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2005 After sailing 7 times and staying in either Balcony or Suites I can tell you to look for the best price on a balcony room, the only differences are the locations and the size is only a few sq. ft. A balcony anywhere on the Voyager class ships will delight you. Hope this helps you out.
critterchick Posted February 28, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2005 I think that the "D" staterooms are larger than the "E" by 20 sf or so. That may not seem like a lot, but IMHO, it is. The D-2 are probably not selling as well as the E's which is why the price is lower. I'd get a D-2, if it was up to me.
Peggy13 Posted February 28, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2005 I think some of the D cabins are quads and the E cabins are either triple or doubles.
jezzdogg Posted February 28, 2005 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2005 The d prices are determined by what deck they are on. The rooms and balcony are the same size, hope that helps.
flaka Posted February 28, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Thanks everyone... Anyone have thoughts on the guarantee part though? I'm happy with a D, but if getting the guarantee means I could get bumped to a suite, that would be better... though what are my chances of getting an upgrade?
