$50 credit from RCCL

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on Allure on Jan 30. We booked our D7 room back in July. Before final payment, I noticed that D5 rooms were reduced, and lower than what we paid. So, I received the price difference credited to my credit card, and the change to a D5 on the beginning of the hump! Then, after final payment, I noticed that the "port charges/fees/taxes" were reduced by $25 per person. RCCL said they don't refund fees/taxes when there is a reduction, because it's just like any other product....you pay the taxes in effect on the day of purchase. Ok, no big deal...I just thought I'd try. Now, I just received my Jan credit card statement, and there is a $50.94 credit from RCCL...? The only reason I can think of would be the reduction in taxes. I called about that back in Nov (and was told no refund), so I was pleasantly surprized to see the credit. Unless it's for something else, but I don't know what it could be. If it is for the taxes, it's strange that it took 3 months to show up. In any case...YAY, more money for the casino! LOL
