Penthouse Suites - Sparkling Wine

Hi Cruisers,

 

Am travelling on the Sky in 4 weeks and we have an AC & AD suite booked (with full suite benefits excl bar set up!)

 

What i would like to know is if we get a bottle of sparkling wine in each suite on embarkation? and if so, is it possible to change for a bottle of red or white? And do we have a choice (i only drink sauv blanc and rest only drink shiraz or merlot)

It depends on how good your butler is. We've been able to exchange it at least 50% of the time when we've had a suite - when they would exchange it, it was the cheapest bottle of red or white on their menu. Your butler will need to get permission from his manager (who is usually the concierge) and the bar manager to make the switch. It can sometimes take a while depending on how busy they are with all of the new passengers coming aboard.

Agreed - be nice to the butler and he/she will be nice to you. We don't drink, so we always swap out the sparkling wine for 3 or 4 bottles of San Pellegrino.
