shellster1 Posted January 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2011 I'm taking my son and my mom on a cruise....and it just happens to be during her birthday. Now she is super shy and will be so embarrassed if I tell the waiters, but it would be so fun for my little 3 year old to see! Do they sing or perhaps bring a piece of cake with a candle in it or anything if it is a passengers birthday?
jenseib Posted January 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2011 When I talked to someone at DCL about another matter, she asked if we were celebrating anything. I told her that we were basically celebrting all our birthdays, even though none were actually close to our sail date. She put it in and said we would get a cake for DD and I on our first night and on the last night one for DH.
Friend100 Posted January 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2011 Just tell your TA and Disney will arrange it. There is a small cake and they sing happy birthday. My DW had that last year and we are doing it again this year.
kcruzgrl Posted January 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2011 DCL has always done a cake for B-day's and Anniversary's when we have celebrated. It may not be on the correct day however. Singing is hit or miss depending on your servers. I feel like they do a good job with the extra touches like celebrations.
noahdove Posted January 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2011 My TA asked me if my birthday was a celebration and I laughed!!! There will be 8 of us, and my oldest GD will turn 17 just a couple of weeks after we sail so I am excited to see what the TA put on our info:)
