Ephesus area with a teen and a tween?

Recommended Posts

We will be in Ephesus later this year for a long port day (13 hours). We are definitely doing a private tour of Ephesus, the Terrace Houses and a couple of other sites. All of the Ephesus tours seem to spend no more than 5 hours looking at the various ruins, with many tours spending less time. We are wondering about other things to do with our teen and tween for the remainder of the day.

Does anyone have more info on the Jeep Safaris? Will we die of heat doing this in late July/early August? Has anyone been to the Adaland water or sea park? We thought about Ladies Beach, but we have seen some posts about how dirty it is. Has anyone been to the beaches? Any comments on these activities or alternative activities would be most welcome.

I have boys who despise shopping of any form, so shopping is not an option.

Thanks for all the great advice.
