Closest Car Rental to port in Halifax

On Carnival Glory in September with two friends and we want to rent a car and drive to Peggy's Cove ourselves. Anyone know the closest car rental company outlet to the port in Halifax, and how far a walk it is? One of my friends has a bum knee and can't walk too far. Thanks.....who has anyone used and were you satisfied?

Thanks, that clears up a lot for me...I'll go with either Enterprise or Alamo and plan my day accordingly--these threads hit upon a lot I want to do.

I have not reviewed the referenced threads, but according to my reseach, the closest rental is National at the Via Rail Station which is just a short walk from the pier. The cost of a compact car for the day is 40.79. Be sure to sign up for the free Emerald Club before reserving a car, it immediately saved us some money.
