Snorkling in Nassau - Arrive at Noon on Sensation

Hi everyone,

I'll be traveling on Carnival Sensation next week. We arrive in Nassau at noon. It will be me, my gf, her mom & dad. (30, 25, 50, 57) The parents are first time cruisers.

I was wondering if it is realistic to try getting to Love Beach to do some snorkeling, or if it will be too late. Also considering Blackbeard Cay, but still worried about getting into port so late.

Would possibly consider the Sheraton or Atlantis, but once again, would it be worth the money with a late arrival?

We do not depart until 6am. Is there anything to do after 6? Everything I've read seems to say the town closes then....

This was a last minute booking and a surprise birthday trip for her dad - he still doesn't know. We'd like to show them a good time so they go on more in the future! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, will the water be warm enough to snorkel?
