Hawaii Excursions

Put Me On A Boat

Recommended Posts

:) Hi, we will be sailing on the Wind in April on the 10-day Hawaii cruise. One of the excursions, Maui, I think, is zip-lining. Has anyone tried it? Looks like fun, I saw it on The Great Race, but is it okay for the older set? Ca n you take pictures while on it? Thanks.

I did a ziplining tour in mexico last winter and had a blast. I am late 20's and I was the youngest person on my trip. I would say most were in their 40s and 50s. The most challenging part of my tour was the hike from the last platform to the base lodge. The actual zipping is not too difficult. On my tour they said the most serious injury they had was a woman who dislocated her shoulder.

You can take photos, but they discourage it because to do so you need to take the gloves they make you wear off and if you drop one (keep in mind you are 30 feet or more off the ground) it causes a problem.
