LOL, Did they have a choice?

probably not but MSC are notoriously bad at giving out information, especially about itinerary changes until the last minute, so looks like they are learning that people want to be informed as soon as possible when changes occur rather than being left hanging & trying to second guess what they will do instead.

Bobar have a great trip

plan on having a great trip and really wanted to go to athens and izmir so this is actually good news...

zambini...im sure they had a choice as in 55 cruises i have seen some lines ake poor choices on port changes and some do good jobs...i am just really glad because even if everything got better in egypt in the next 5 weeks we would have opted to stay onboard and been dissapointed so this is great news!

Few days we are back from Magnifica, we v´been the last cruise, that made it for Alexandria. As for current cruise on Magnifica - I watch webcam everyday ( missing Magnifica :-) - it seems they replaced Alexandria with one day more in Israel. Your possibility 2 for 1 seems much better. Have a nice cruise.

  • 2 weeks later...

We were on Magnifica and one day out from Alexandria when trouble broke out. Cruise director announced at dinner we would be skipping Alexandria and spending a second day in Hafia. Sorry to miss the pryamids but the extra day in Isral was worth it since it rained hard thefirst day. This ship is fantastic but be prepared for charges for shuttles between 8-12E for some ports where the city is not located close to the docks.
