kichi_kichi Posted March 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2005 Guys, We are so torn between visiting Trunk Bay or doing the Godfrey Tour that we are thinking about renting a car (and doing both!!). Is that feasible (we dock at 7 a.m. and leave at 5 p.m.)? Thanks..
The Islander Posted March 2, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2005 Hello, Yes you can rent a car, take the car barge over to St. John first thing in the am, spend half the day there, come back to St. Thomas and do a driving tour on your own of St. Thomas, return to the cruise ship dock. One tip: Traffic gets pretty tight around 4pm-4:30pm coming from town towards Havensight Dock so be sure to either be on your way there already by that time Or head back earlier and then hang out at say Morningstar Beach so that you are coming back to return the car/to the ship from that direction (which is opposite to coming from town). --Islander *****
kichi_kichi Posted March 3, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Thanks for the information. I should be able to get a map from where I rent the car, right?
The Islander Posted March 3, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Yes, the car rental agency should provide a map and you might ask them to point out the directions for going to the Red Hook Ferry. --Islander *****
