Cunard Pier Pick up

I'm set to collect my tickets at the pier from Cunard before my trans Atlantic. Anyone else have experience of Cunard pier pick up? I've happliy flown many times on 'electronic' tickets so conceptually this is just the same.....except 'Cunard' and 'IT Proficiency' rarely appear together in the same sentence.....or perhaps its really 'Princess' and 'IT'.....in which case I'd be a lot happier....thoughts?

Wasn't it Princess' IT which caused a number of people to fly all the way to Oz before finding that their cabins were double booked on QE2 World Cruise?

 

They had assigned cabins and "real paper tickets", so even that is no guarantee of getting on the ship.

 

Mind you. They were then offered a Princess cruise instead, so maybe it wasn't as accidental as it seemed.

 

Cynicism aside, I'm sure things will be fine. I've known others do this in the past quite succesfully.
