sail7seas Posted February 7, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2011 Does San Juan (all of Puerto Rico) Celebrate Carnival in the way other Caribbean Islands do?
rainforestgirl Posted February 7, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2011 No. We do have a "Carnival" in Ponce (right before lent), but it is not like the islands Carnival. Many towns celebrate a carnival through out the year (on their towns saint day), and that is a bit more similar to the islands carnival (with parade of sequin dancers and music etc), but not as elaborate as the Carnivals I have seen in Bahamas or other places.
