enidgirl Posted March 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2005 We would like to find a tour guide for Rome who will get us to St. Peters, Vatican, and anything else we can do in one full day. There are 3 of us and we'll arrive in Rome 2 days before our cruise. We would like to see as much as possible in that time even if it's just an overview. This way we'll know where to spend our time when we go back. Your experiences and recommendations would be most appreciated!
queeng Posted March 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2005 I haven't been yet but we are using Claudio of www.limoinrome.com. He came very much recommended and has been prompt and professional in all the correspondance we have had.Aloha, Ginger:)
sondi 14 Posted March 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2005 We used Angelo of Benvenuto Limos - e-mail info@benvenutolimos.com. He was really good and very knowledgeable. We saw more of Rome in one day than we thought possible. We didn't go to the Vatican as we had been before, but we did go to St. Peter's and many of the other sights in the city. I would highly recommend the company. Sondi
24butterfly Posted March 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2005 St. Peters and the Vatican are right around the corner from each other. If you get yourself a good guide book (frommers, Knopf Guide), they'll tell you how to get around. The Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps etc. are within walking distance of each other, not to far from everything else. You can stop at whatever catches your eye en route to whatever/wherever. That's half the fun. Don't worry; 2 days is plenty of time to see alot of Rome if you plan right.
