Cabbage Beach vs. Cable Beach

I did a search and found 4 posts that gave me enough information to be leaning heavily toward Cable Beach. I'm thinking that maybe we should just take the ferry over, walk around the public areas of Atlantis (our teens are insisting on this), then take a ferry back over, hop on a jitney and spend time our beach time on Cable Beach? Any and all input and opinions welcomed! Thanks a million! :)
