MDR seating question

Summit Main Dining Room, late seating. Does anybody know how to reserve a table for two? On our last cruise on RCCL someone had the email address of the "dining room manager" and it accually worked. We emailed our request and did get an answer. Once we boarded the ship we went to the dining room to check on our table and to our surprise our email was there and so was our table for two.

Thanks.

Your best bet would be to speak with the Maitre D rght when you get on board the ship.

We requested a table for two last year on the Summit and when we arrived we were set at a table for 8. There was another couple who were just married and thats it. The view we had was AMAZING though, so we decided to stay at the table. It worked out best in the end that we did that because we ended up meeting someone from our roll call who was not pleased w/ their table mates so they joined out table.

You can request a 2-top by calling 1-800-242-6374, option #3 and make the request. The table assignments are controlled by the ship, but the person at this number will fax your request to the ship. Immediately after you board, find the M'd and check out your assignment and request any changes if necessary.

We request it when we book the cruise and then head to the dining room with our table assignment card found in the room. Have the maitre d show you the size and location of the table. If possible it MIGHT be changed then and there if you did not get the seating. If not on the first night, ask the second day. Most people are pretty satisfied with their placements by the second dinner night.

BTW, we have ALWAYS been placed at the two top when requested at booking.

We have done the same procedure and it has worked every time. Called to request right after booking. Then once we get into our room, the first thing we do is find our assignment and go double check it is a table for 2. So far we are 3 for 3.

Thank you all so much for the info. Ramman your suggestion worked perfectly, just got off the phone with them and we are set for a table for two. I will of course take the other advise and double check right after we get on the ship. Thanks again.

Now if we can only figure out what wine package to get we will be in business.

Yes what you did was put in your REQUEST. It's not a sure thing. Always wise to check when your board. ;)
