dakrewser Posted March 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2005 I can't imagine any ship being able, in good faith, to certify that no one on board has a contagious disease! THe common cold is contagious...
localady Posted March 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2005 I think it's a shame if folks miss the Falklands because of this new requirement! I can understand wanting to protect their citizens but this seems extreme IMHO. We loved the Falklands and the Falklanders we met. I am glad we had the opportunity cruise there when we did!
Aussie Gal Posted March 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2005 We hope to be visiting the Faulklands in January - at least it is on the itinerary. I will be praying that all on board stay well as it would be such a shame to miss out on this island. Visiting the Fauklands was going to be one of the highlights of the cruise. trubey Posted March 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2005 Just think about how "germy" the airport must be when a boatload of virused passengers finish their cruise. Do you think they do any special cleaning? susan.
Druke I Posted March 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2005 We are due into the Falklands Mar '06 on the Regal Princess, and certainly hope we get in (although we don't want to be "stranded" there overnight, like passengers on a recent HAL cruise). Interesting article - and I understand their concern re the health issues.
