JK41 Posted February 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2011 We are in the process in booking our first cruise:). It will be on the Epic in December. One of the incentives we got is a coupon book. Can anyone tell me what sort of offers/deals/things are in the book?
Squidward Q Tentacles Posted February 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2011 I am interested in this also, I am suppose to get one worth $400 for my cruise on Dawn later this year.
Little Stinker Posted February 19, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2011 It really is just a coupon book. ie "Purchase $250 to $500 worth of artwork from our gallery and get a $25 credit towards your purchase." "While ship is in port, receive $100 off any Medi-spa service over $500."

"While ship is in port, receive $100 off any Medi-spa service over $500." That's kind of what I thought, but my NCL salesman said it had a buy one get one free dinner for one of the nice restaurants. I figured that was the best deal in the book.
johnql Posted February 19, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Here's a link to the coupons - I assume it's the same as the coupon booklet that's being offered in the promotion. http://www.ncl.com/csimages/121/369/SavingsCertificates.pdf For those not wanting to click thru, here's a summary of the coupons: Extra 10 minutes free when you purchase a 100-min plan at the Internet Cafe Extra 20 minutes free when you purchase a 250-min plan at the Internet Cafe $100 off any Medi-spa service over $500 10% off any spa service while ship is in port $100 onboard credit for purchasing $250 Cruise Rewards certificate Purchase $250 to $500 worth of artwork and get a $25 credit towards your purchase 5% off any single item in the Tax & Duty Free Shops With your first purchase at the Tax & Duty Free Shops, you'll automatically be entered in a special drawing. Plus, for every $50 you spend, you'll get one additional entry. 10% off photo purchases of $100 or more in the Photo Gallery 20% off photo purchases of $200 or more in the Photo Gallery 15% off a bottle of house wine when you pay for 2 restaurant cover charges Enjoy dinner for 2 at Le Bistro and we'll waive one cover charge at the Italian restaurant It's a typical collection of coupons that carry little or no real value - partly because most of the savings require a significant expenditure; and many of the offers are identical to offers made to all passengers once onboard. That said, if there's something that you would have purchased anyway, then it's worth something (e.g., I always dine at Le Bistro, so the waiver of one cover charge at the Italian restaurant is nice; also, the 15% off a bottle of house wine might come in handy). To promote it as worth $400 is typical marketing malarkey - it would require spending a ridiculous amount to actually realize a $400 "savings". I agree completely and laughed when I seen most of them equalled what was already for everyone else onboard in the past dailies. If you are already going to do something that is on the coupons then as my DH pointed out the only + is that you don't have to wait until a specific day onboard and could you them whatever day you chose. True enough but I still think they are a joke.
aqz Posted February 20, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2011 We were on the Epic Dec. 11, 2010 cruise. To me the coupon book was no big deal. I was so excited to get it thinking there was going to be something wonderful in it. There are discounts on spa treatments (with restrictions) ect. ect.. Lots of discounts and lots of restrictions. The only one I used was the coupon for the casino where you pay so much and get extra back to play with. The couple that was traveling with us didn't use any of their coupons. Medtech2 Posted February 20, 2011 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Well at least they changed the coupon to an Italian restaurant. When we were on Epic it said TexMex, which Epic does not have. We did use the wine coupon but the Internet special and cruise certificate are available on board...

che5904 Posted February 20, 2011 #11 Share Posted February 20, 2011 From my understanding from reading a couple of other threads that the match coupon is not in this years coupons. Too bad it's probably the only one I would have used. I wished they just would have had the 2 for 1 cover charge at a restaurant of your choice. I would have much preferred being able to use it at Cagney's
Linda the Book Lover Posted February 25, 2011 #12 Share Posted February 25, 2011 Le Bistro works for me. We usually eat there one night.
