April-in-NC Posted February 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2011 also how long do you keep them? The wave runners are part of an excursion, you can't just rent them and go off on your own. We did the wave runners in 2009 and the price was about $75ish for the driver and I can't remember what the passenger price was. We were out on the water for about an hour, there were two guides with us, one at the front and one at the back to make sure no one fell behind. The excursion was follow the leader, they put people who wanted to go fast in the front and those who wanted to go slower (or less experienced) were at the back. There are lots of twisting and turning to add some fun and several stops along the way to regroup and reorder the line. The only big thing I didn't like is that in addition to paying for the excursion you had to may more ($4-5) to rent a locker to keep valuables in. I thought you should get one included in the price of the excursion.
cb at sea Posted February 19, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 19, 2011 You can rent jetskis or waverunners at almost every public beach at every other port. You will be able to "do your own thing" if you book somewhere other than Coco Cay or Labadee.
CruisinDawn Posted February 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2011 Currently the passenger is around $29 after you pay about $85 for the driver. Can't just sign up to be a passenger :) The description above is exactly how the excursion on CocoCay is ran when we did it.
