Independence of the Seas - Smoking Policy?

Hi,

 

We are booked on this ship next year and we have family who are considering booking to come with us - but.......they are smokers. Can anyone tell me where smoking is allowed onboard. I know its NOT allowed in the staterooms, but is it allowed in any of the bars.?

While the Indy is on this side of the pond there are limited places for smoking.

 

On stateroom balconies.

Outside on decks 5,11 & 12 (only in select areas)

Connoisseur Club (which is on deck 5)

1 level of the Night Club

I will ask here as well, does that mean no smoking in the Casino? that would be great.

Brilliant, thanks we will be able to spend some time in there now. On the Explorer it was thick with smoke, we did go in but it was not a good experience.

As non smokers we do not seem to take much notice, but did notice on our last Cruise aboard the Jewel, The Casino took it in turns, smoking - no smoking - smoking - and so on. I think it worked like this.

Thanks for all the replies folks.......will now pass on the info and see if family want to book. As a NON smoker myself.....I am pleased that there are only a few smoking places.....:D
