v33 Posted February 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2011 We'll be cursing on the Disney Wonder soon with a 4 and a 2 year old. We've cruised on Princess several times (without kids :) ) but this will be our first time on DCL. Our 2 year old won't sleep without some warm milk before bed time. I'm wondering if warm milk is available on the ship around 10 or so. Or if any milk is available at all that time of night. On Princess the buffet was open 24 hours and it doesn't look like this is the case with DCL. Should we bring an electric bottom warmer just in case? Thanks! PopFla Posted February 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Milk is available at the free soda/coffee/tea/milk dispensers on the ninth deck, port side aft, 24/7. It is, of course, dispensed cold. If any of the quick service food stands are still open when you need it, I'm sure they'd be glad to warm it for you. And by the way... We'll be cursing on the Disney Wonder soon... Hey, hey... Disney Cruise Line is a family environment... watch that "cursing".
CherriTerri Posted February 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2011 I think I also read on another thread that room service will bring you hot water to warm up milk for childern as well. Hopefully somebody else can confirm this for you.
v33 Posted February 21, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Terrific - it's a relief to know that milk is available 24 hours. I guess we can always bring a warmer to warm the cold milk. Anyone know if there are fridges in the cabins on the Wonder? Also sorry about the 'cursing' - auto-spell correction on the iPad... :) Jerry
cruisequeen10 Posted February 21, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2011 I heard that you can order from room service warm chocolate chip cookies and milk at bedtime. That is what my niece and I are looking forward to.
PopFla Posted February 21, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Anyone know if there are fridges in the cabins on the Wonder? There is what DCL refers to as a "cooling box" - not an actual fridge, it keeps things cool - - somewhere around 50 degrees - - but not really cold. I understand the new ships have actual mini-refrigerators.
