Rare silentbob007 Posted February 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2011 Old ... I believe they removed the competition to B&J and moved the free stuff up to the pool deck.
jjb415 Posted February 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2011 I have never seen an ice cream machine on the Promenade, but, I do appreciate that on Voyager and Radiance there are machines in the Windjammer that are open late.
Coralc Posted February 21, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2011 When we were on Navigator, the elevator signs still listed "Sprinkles" on the promenade deck. My husband asked what it was.....I said, ice cream machine and toppings, not there anymore. :D:):D
Firefighterhoop Posted February 21, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 21, 2011 They were once on all the Voyager class ships, a LONG time ago.. (as in pre 2005), but have long since been removed. If you look at the old pictures you will notice the free ice cream machines were located right next to Cafe Promenade, which on those ships house Ben and Jerrys. cruise maniac 15 Posted February 21, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted February 21, 2011 i wish they had real ice cream though not frozen yogurt. I would also love if they had toppings like sprinkles.
Coralc Posted February 21, 2011 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2011 i wish they had real ice cream though not frozen yogurt. I would also love if they had toppings like sprinkles. To be perfectly honest, I can't tell the difference.;) But I'm sure you're right and it might matter to others. :)
DanJ Posted February 21, 2011 #8 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Never mind the toppings, it took me until the last sea day to figure out how to put the ice cream (or whatever it really is LOL) into the cone without it flopping all over the sides of the cone LOL. If you don't want to look like an idiot like me, you don't twist the cone as the ice cream is dispensed. You hold the cone a couple inches under the spout, and as the ice cream comes down, just move the cone straight up and down, and let the new stuff push the stuff already in the cone out to the sides in a perfect dairy queen-like ripple.
