Has anyone snorkeled at the Palancar Reef in Cozumel?

 

I am looking at booking with either Eagleray Divers or thru Island Marketing.

Snorkled there in 2008. I don't remember who we went with, but they left from Paradise Beach. Seeing the scuba divers below is what convinced me to take up diving. It's a long reef and was fun to snorkle. The current in Cozumel is such that you will drift along the reef and the boat will follow you. The reef snorkling in Cozumel is all in deep water. You probably will be 50 ft or so above the reef, but the water is usually so clear that you can still see lots of cool stuff. I'm sure you will have fun.

Thanks! I have snorkeled in Cozumel before but never out to the reef. Any snorkeling is great to me! :D

Truchattycathy - can you tell me what you ended up doing when you went to Cozumel? We are leaving this coming weekend and I would love your input as to what to do!
