Chucksta63 Posted July 20, 2005 #76 Share Posted July 20, 2005 Is it true that the Triumph has cabins in all categories that will sleep 5? A travel agent told me that and it seemed to good to be true. Any categories or room reccommendations for a family with 3 small children 3, 6, 6? Thanks Depends on where you want to be and what type of cabin you want!!!! We had a family of 5 stay on the spa deck and love it!! It was a OV cabin with floor to celling windows it was nice!!!! Then there are the Balconys!!!!Can't go wrong in one of thoes!!! When are you going??? We are going in April with a group from here!!! Want to go??? happy cruzin Posted July 30, 2005 #79 Share Posted July 30, 2005 8 of us (3 families) are scheduled for 2/4/06 - Western. We are all really looking foward to it. DH and I have our first aft cabin....anyone have pictures to share??? We would also love to hear about details of the ports and ship. I feel kinda like a sponge.....I can't soak up too much info when planning trips like this. All "donations" to the planning process are graciously accepted...lol
BettyB2 Posted October 13, 2005 #80 Share Posted October 13, 2005 There are a bunch of roll-calls coming up for the Triumph and wanted to find this thread badly for all of us. We are now 52 days out and cannot wait! Do we need a bungee cord for a corner aft? I believe I read somewhere that we dont, but want to verify. I will probably bring one anyway. I read that sushi was available one night in dining room as an appetizer? I didnt see this on any menues...:( We will be on the Eastern itinerary this time - any hints, ideas etc would be appreciated
Chucksta63 Posted October 13, 2005 #81 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Hi Betty I don't remember any sushi at all. Not sure about the Aft Cabins But I would think you would need one. There doors are no diffrent from the others that I know of?

Ron&Hermione Posted October 13, 2005 #85 Share Posted October 13, 2005 Sailing on the Triumph November 12 Western Caribbean (first trip out of drydock!) Got the docs last week! First cruise and very excited! We had booked an inside gty, but landed an oceanview upgrade. We'll take it! In Cozumel we plan to hit Paradise Beach (on recommendations from this site). Grand Cayman will be Stingray City with Moby Dick Tours. Ocho Rios will probably be just a day to relax and enjoy.

01 Cobra Posted October 14, 2005 #87 Share Posted October 14, 2005 DH and I are sailing 01/14/2005. Can't wait! This is only our 2nd cruise in 7 years. We'll be on the Eastern Itinerary. Any tips and recommendations for San Juan, St Thomas & St Maartin would be greatly appreciated! We arrived in San Juan about 5pm local time and everything closed at 6pm. That really didn't spoil our time, however we didn't get to do much shopping. Just picked up a few items right outside the port. We did however have a most wonderful fun and fantastic time drinking local brew at Senior Frogs. I'm sure many of you tire of Senior Frogs after the first visit or two, however my husband and I reall enjoyed it and had quite a blast. I know there are tours you can take there and some are walking tours, beware of the hills....start at the top and work your way down...Have a good time. All cruises are GREAT cruises. Beats the heck out of work!

BettyB2 Posted October 14, 2005 #90 Share Posted October 14, 2005 Thanks Chuck for the information! I also plan a detailed review when we get home Dec 11th.... Do you stay in Miami before and/or after cruise? We are staying HI Bayview for one night pre cruise and decided to stay one night post cruise somewhere so our post-cruise blues dont take us over right away!! Do you have a place to recommend. I will be posting on the Miami board about this and a few other things, but seem to get more answers here. Glad to see other Triumph Roll-Calls coming to visit this board!!! BettyB2 Posted October 14, 2005 #92 Share Posted October 14, 2005 That would be great Don!!! I was quite bummed out after learning there was not a sushi bar on board and it would make us very, very happy. I did hear on our roll call that sushi is available at the Hong Kong Noodle Co. and on buffet sometimes.... Not quite the same.... Chuck - here is a pic of one of the corner aft balcony doors on Triumph - cannot see a bungee. hmmmm http://community.webshots.com/photo/332664772/332673635FnfWfa

Hi Betty I am staying at HI Bayside too along with a bunch of folks from our Group! We are doing a meet and Greet at Hardrock Cafe on Friday Night! Then I am going to stay in Ft. Lauderdale post Cruise. I like to be near our departing airport. I stay at the Sea Club Resort, it is an old Ramada Inn I think. Not the best of hotels but price is great! It is right on the boardwalk in Ft. Lauderdale with an open air bar that looks over the pool one way and the beach the other! Check out our Group Boards for Post Cruise Hotels for pics. Duck Lets pray for Sushi!!!:D
BettyB2 Posted October 14, 2005 #94 Share Posted October 14, 2005 Thanks Chuck! Will do! We are flying out of Miami airport the day after cruise, so I need something in Miami. I may enjoy the Bayside and wish to stay there post cruise, but think I want to try something different.
