My first cruise was aboard the Fantasy. I loved it, we celebrated my daughter 16th birthday aboard the Fantasy. The EMPRESS deck is near everything.

The entertainment was great, and at night the club did a 70 - 80 hour it was great.

Love this ship....This is what I wrote for a group cruise I organized here for Cruise Critic about this wonderful ship...

I would like to start by welcoming everyone to the "Stowaway Freddy and Friends" cruise out of Charleston, South Carolina. I am looking forward to meeting each and everyone of you. We are going to have a great time from the ports of call to onboard planned group activities.

The Canival Fantasy holds a special place in my heart. Fantasy is the first ship I ever cruised on. This will be my third cruise on this ship. In February of 2009 I did the John Heald's Bloggers cruise a few months after her refurbishment. The ship is beautiful. Here are just a few of the upgrades done.

A Canival Waterwoks area was added for the young and the young at heart. Also a 9 hole mini golf course. There is also the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat. The main pool area also was tranformed and is beautiful.

For those of us that love food the two main dining rooms serve great food. From prime ribs and steaks to seafood and fish. Also pastas and vegetarian delights. Did I mention the lobster tails on Elegant night? Loosen up the belt and have a few desserts. Your on vacation.

Then there is the Lido area. Everything from a carving station to stir fry. Fresh deli sandwiches and 24 hour pizza. Also hot dogs and burgers. Make sure to locate the soft ice cream stations. If you need a late night snack you can always call room service.

For the kids Carnival has done a great job. They have the Waterworks area for water fun. Also Camp Carnival, Circle "C" and Club 02. The kids love all the planned activities Carnival provides. No wonder they don't want to go home.

For nightlife there are many things to do. Take in a Vegas style show in the main show lounge. Afterwards sip a cocktail in the piano bar and sing along to you favorite song. If you love to sing then the karaoke lounge will be a hit for you. Try your hand at lady luck in the casino. Dance to the rockin music with a live band or disco the night away in the disco.

You see, Carnival Fantasy is really a "Fun For All" ship. So climb aboard.

My husband and I and our son and his wife had rooms on the Empress deck. Very close to everything and quiet. The rooms has been redone and look brand new. Staff was great and loved Risa the cruise director. I would take her again. Have fun!:D
