Triumph vs Freedom

Trying to decide between 7 day Triumph- 8 day Freedom..... We live in New Orleans and cruised the Triumph last year. We liked it but it rained in 2 ports so didn't get to enjoy those excursions. This will only be our 3rd cruise so we are thinking we may want to try a different ship. Thoughts? We would like to see Costa Rica and Panama but like the convienence of being at our home port. Any advice will be appreciated!!

We did the Triumph last year and had a great cruise....takes us about 8 hrs to drive to N.O., so sailing out of there makes it a lot cheaper on us because air fare is really high..but, we have the Freedom booked for the 8 night Eastern cruise next month and don't mind having to pay the high air fare to see something different than what we have seen several times over cruising out of N.O. and Galveston......If you can afford the air fare to Ft Lauderdale I would do the 8 nighter.....but either one is a cruise and that can't be beat!
