Prices for Jan 05 in Ft. Lauderdale

I've noticed the prices are extremely high for hotels in Jan 05. Any suggestions???

Well we booked the Holiday Inn on the beach 3 star for Jan but still paid close to $100.00 US. I'm guessing that it's peak season because many other on line booking sites came back with some hotels already completely booked.

I was bidding on priceline (my 1st time) for downtown Tampa for our pre cruise stay, Jan 22, 2005 and kept getting refused on 3 *'s with bids as high as $80.00. I kept trying and finally added the airport zone. I got the Airport Marriott for $70.00. I still think this is a little high compared to the other winning bids I hear about, but they are for different months. Maybe January is just more expensive!?!

well I was trying downtown Miami and asked, was told it was too early to get anything on priceline for Jan and to wait it out a while longer. Hope this is true.

I've been looking for seven rooms for our group's pre-cruise stay in Fort Lauderdale on January 21st, 2005. Everything seems real high. Any suggestions?

Would a price of $79.00 per room be in your price range? That is what I got for Feb. 5, FLL at the Rennaissance. I got my bid accepted on Priceline the other day.
I bid on a 3 * for downtown FLL, and they upgraded me to a 4 *. (The Ren).
Remember, if you bid on PL. your money is not refunded, and is charged to your acct. right away.
