"drop off at airport" excursions

Recommended Posts

First time RCCL cruiser...and we have booked a trip to the rainforest in San Juan to be dropped off at the airport afterwards. Assuming you observed the recommended flight departure times...anyone have any issues with getting to the airport on time with one of these excursions? Thank you.

we have done this excursion twice, in 2003 and 2009 (had the same tour guide, believe it or not!!!) They tell you in the info "for flights leaving after" a certain time. As long as you adhere to this, you will be fine. We had plenty of time before our flight both times.

They care for your luggage and you hook back up with it outside the airport.

Enjoy the rain forest...it is beautiful...and a perfect way to "kill time" and it sure beats waiting in San Juan airport!!!

The biggest concern with these tours is that if not enough people book, they will cancel the tour. We booked a tour of Stonehenge when we sailed on the Independence out of Southampton. I'd booked our return airfare in the evening to accommodate the tour, and when they cancelled it, we ended up spending 8 hours at Heathrow.

I looked into some of the after-cruise tours when we were on Allure a few months ago. All of them had been cancelled.

Just did this in Nov. Plenty of time to get to the airport. The only problem we had was that the area where the luggage is stored was way far from our airline terminal. We had to drag our luggage without the asisstance of a porter.

Yes,I remember that now that you mention it...that would be hard for someone with small children or disabled.
