Meander Travel in Turkey

We used Meander Travel for a tour in Ephesus several years ago. Our tour guide was excellent and I was thinking of contacting them for a November cruise that includes Istanbul and Kusadasi. Has anyone used them recently? Also, there has been discussion as to whether one needs a guide at all in Istanbul. We will be there for three days and think a guide for part of the time would be helpful. What do you think?
