southt00 Posted March 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2011 Hi. My search is not working today and was looking for some quick advice. We currently have a reservation with RCCL for Freedom in Nov. We would like to move that ressie to an agency for OBC. Because it is changing currencies, RCCL can't transfer the ressie and we need to rebook. The problem is first dining is now wait listed. We do not enjoy My Time and have a young child. What are the odds of clearing the wait list? We are suite guests, if that helps. Thank you! T. burritto Posted March 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 16, 2011 I haven't had an exactly similar experience, but I'll share what I can. We booked an FOS cruise that only had 10-12 interior staterooms left and were forced into the later dining time. (We booked at the same time as our companions on this itinerary and linked our reservations; two groups of two requesting to be seated together.) We all accepted the later seating and put in a request to be moved to the first seating. We didn't sit there hitting F5, but after 2 weeks we checked back on our reservations and found that we had all been moved to the earlier seating as requested. I don't know what the criterion is for requests such as these, but we are platinum C&A members and our homies are first-timers, so I would place my money on your wishes being granted. Good luck and have a great time!

wg6530 Posted March 17, 2011 #4 Share Posted March 17, 2011 November is a long way away, so you have a good chance to clear a wait list (or move by visiting Madre D on boarding day). But what if you don't? could you accept MTD, or late dining, or buffet/specialty restaurants every night? If any of those options would acceptable, it make sense to rebook and wait list. OTOH if all those options make you shudder, are you sure the OBC is worth the risk?
