Afternoon tea on a 1 day cruise

Does anyone know if there will be afternoon tea on a 1 day cruise? I am going on a 1 day cruise from Vancouver to Seattle on the Westerdam. It is not the start of another cruise. The Westerdam ends in Vancouver from a 21 day repositioning cruise from Fort Lauderdale. Then there is the one day cruise so that the Westerdam can get to Seattle for the start of the Alaska season.

We did one of these a few years ago. It was a great way to get a look over a ship, and for us, it was a way to get to Seattle from Vancouver for another cruise we were taking to Alaska a few days later.

There was no afternoon tea the day we left Vancouver. In our case, it was get on, have lunch, look around, sailaway, dinner, show, beautiful nights sleep, and a lovely sail into Seattle!!!

About half of the passengers on our one nighter had come all the way round from Fort Lauderdale, while there were about half just doing the one night. If I recall correctly, the stop in Vancouver allowed for people to come up from other west coast USA ports like San Diego, or San Fransisco. The ship was very light (only about a quarter full) and the crew were very busy changing over the displays, the duty free shop, crew, and the bars to reflect the upcoming Alaskan season!

As the cruise is the end of a long cruise for some passengers, the show was a "farewell" type show.

We really enjoyed that VERY SLOW sailing, and if we lived in Vancouver would probably do lots of them!!!

Only if they had come through the Panama Canal and made a stop in South America could they have come from CA and gotten off in Seattle. That old PVSA again! CA to Vancouver okay, Vancouver to Seattle okay, but not CA to Seattle via Vancouver.
