Oh no, i'm afraid after reading some of these posts, we may have chosen a bad time to go! My friend can only get off work for the length of time we need for this trip in MAY....i will go over to the Alaska board too, and look for the threads...thanks!

 

No, don't worry at all. We did what sounds like a very similar cruisetour with Princess in 2009 in May. We did the Tundra Wilderness Tour that goes quite a way into the park and saw a ton of wildlife (moose, brown bear, caibou, dahl sheep, wolves, golden eagle, mother red fox and pups). It was amazing. We enjoyed great views on Denali (Mt McKinley) from the lodge and crystal clear views of it on the train ride back to Whittier. We had pretty nice weather with just one day of drizzle on the land tour and a foggy morning or two on the cruise.

 

Don't worry one bit about your choice to go in May. Have a terrific time! Alaska is an amazing place!
