NCL vs Carnival

Hello Everyone,

My husband and I are considering a Decemeber 2011 cruise on the Norwegian Dawn visiting Samana, Dominicain Republic Tortola, BVI St. Maarten Antiqua Barbados and St Kitts for about $650 a person.

My question is We are 38 and 33 and have only cruised 3 times before on Carnival. How does NCL compair to Carnival? Specifically, we loved the towel animals, the day time trivia games and the adults only pool and beach chair= serenity area's. We also sometimes enjoyed the evening song and dance shows and the Casino.

We always found the included (free) dinner food to be ok on Carnival. Somthing akin to Applebees or Chili's or Ourback. For lunch we usually had a sandwich or burrtto form the buffett (islands). And for breakfast we usually had a typical american breakfast in the main dinning room or breakfast poolside.

MY QUESTIONS****Now that you know a little about us. *******

Will my husband who is 6'5 and 250 fit in the shower?

Will we like the food?

Is the evening entertainment stuffy or classy or boring?

How are the shore excursions? Can you book ahead of time online?

Thank you for your time :)
