NYC Traffic Alert for Tomorrow, March 20

For those of you who are sailing from NYC tomorrow, I just heard on the radio that the NY City Half Marathon will take place. The map of the route can be found on this page:

The race starts in Central Park at 7:30 a.m., then takes 7th Avenue to W 42nd Street and heads towards the Hudson River. It reaches 12th Avenue south of the Intrepid Museum but North of the Lincoln Tunnel. The race heads south on 12th Avenue and ends near Battery Park.

 

I couldn't find any specific information about road closures, but I would expect more traffic and delays than usual for a Sunday.

Thanks for that info and map. I would have been sitting in cross town traffic in midtown banging my head against the steering wheel! Now I can take the Triboro and go accross 125th

Are you sailing on the Jewel tomorrow? We are, otherwise I probably wouldn't have paid much attention when they mentioned the marathon on the radio.

Just an aside...1st weekend in MAY in NYC is a city wide bike race..which also plays havoc on roads...
