Carnival Glory - Port or Starboard Side?

My DW and I are cruising on Glory in June and booked a balcony cabin on the port side (even number room). The personal vacation planner I booked with through carnival told me that the even number/port side rooms would face the port at each port-of-call (which make sense). But I've read some threads on here that indicate the opposite- the odd numbered rooms will face the port.

Does anyone have any insight on this? Should I change my cabin assignment if I want to have a view of the port at each destination?

Thanks!

We are doing that same cruise in October. We booked our cabin on the port side because, looking at the little map of the itinerary, that is the side facing land/ports of call most of the way. However, I imagine it is different on different cruises, based on their itineraries.

Hope you totally love your cruise! We've sailed on the Glory in the past and loved it! :)
