Sunblock question?

I just have a curious question about the spray sunblock - we were close to a guy who used this liberally and we basically wore most of it due to the wind on the deck. How effective is it - do you spray it on in cabin before you go on deck - go to a sheltered area to spray it on or spray it up wind so it lands on the targeted person. We use the tubed stuff but have seen a number of people using the spray.

The spray-on stuff is really effective. You do have to be mindful of people and things around you if there is any sort of wind. I'll generally apply the sunscreen before leaving the cabin -- although that is mainly because I don't want to carry it with me. It does spray into a very fine mist, so it will carry in any sort of breeze. But it is very effective as a sunscreen and I really hate the tube-kind that leaves your hands oily for hours after you put it on.

I love the spray. It sprays on evenly without missing any spots. I try to do it in a non windy spot, and Im always aware as not to spray my neighbor. It seems when I use the lotions I miss a spot or 2 and then find out when I get random burned splotches. But I LOVE IT, its all Ill use!
