rfische1 Posted March 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2005 What a beautiful January Day. Temps in the teens, wind chills below zero and snow piled up waist deep in my front yard. What's that? It's March? Geez, I better start thinking of getting the garden turned. Anyway, you get my drift. It's March and there is over 4 feet of snow on my front lawn. All I can think of is cruising, but alas ours isn't till October. What about the rest of you Northeasterners. Come on and vent about this winter that won't leave then let us know when and where you are cruising.
jckvpa0 Posted March 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Live on the Cape, with all the snow we have had this winter you would think I Lived in Maine!!! Sailing mid April to the Western Carribbean, Can't Wait!!! Hopefully when we get back it will be spring although we do not get much of a spring here so I'm not counting on it. Runaway26 Posted March 9, 2005 #4 Share Posted March 9, 2005 Live in Maine as well....when we got back from our January Eastern Caribbean cruise, our flights were cancelled due to the snow storm. After the trip in to work in Portland this morning, I'm REALLY looking forward to spring (though we'll probably get more snow on that day as well)! UGH! Glad that I don't have to go to work and worry about driving on those icy roads. Can't wait for my cruise on Jewel of the Seas in Nov. and then to Hawaii on the Summit next March. Honey's Gal Posted March 9, 2005 #16 Share Posted March 9, 2005 One here from MA, and I think mother nature has to stop her games. I think we could all benefit from a 2 week cruise, what do you think? I am not cruising until Sept 12th on the Jewel, but I am going to San Juan for 5 days with the girls for a nice rest and relaxation. Good friends, sunny weather, the beach, drinking and eating and the casino.....Oh, now I can't wait. The commute here is the worst, all the lanes are now so narrow and the pot holes are from hell. What is a driver to do?

bostonlass Posted March 9, 2005 #25 Share Posted March 9, 2005 20 minutes north of Boston here and I honestly thought my house was going to fly away with the strong winds we had last night!! Like the snow and cold aren't enough we have to have those 35 mph winds too?? I think at this rate my kids will get out around mid-July from school. I can't see my countdown while I"m posting but I know it's somewhere under 40 more days and I hope that it's in the high 80's when we get to Jamaica!!!!!! I cannot wait. Normally I hate the heat but bring it on baby!!!:D
