Flying into or out of MIA this weekend? Be aware!!

Just an FYI to anyone flying into or out of Miami this weekend, there was a fire in the fuel tanks at MIA early yesterday morning that has severly impacted the ability to refuel flights at the airport. Many flights have been delayed or cancelled as a result. Some flights are having to make fuel stops at FLL or MCO to refuel.

 

Don't know if people currently on cruiseships would know to check for this but hopefully someone flying in for a cruise can be proactive in case something happens to their flight.

Maybe someone who has the emails of the CDs or Concierges for the effected ships could email them?

Somehow. the ships are alerted during times like this. When we sailed out of Port Everglade (FLL) during hurricane Wilma, the airport was closed due to damage. We were alerted while on board that we would need to change our flight plans.
