7 Mile Beach, Grand Cayman Questions

We will be going to 7-mile beach from the ship's port. Are there taxi's (or vans since there will be six of us) that will take you to the beach as well as bring you back? Approximate costs?

Are there plenty of restroom facilities that beach goers can use without being a guest at one of the hotels?

What types of water sport equipment can you rent on the beach? Looking for some type of rafts and jet skis. Approximate prices?

What about renting umbrellas and lounge chairs? How does that work not being a hotel guest?

Anyone have an 'secrets' about Seven Mile Beach?

Thank you ALL for you help. These boards are awesome!!!!

There will be PLENTY of taxis/vans at the port. We went to the closest section of 7 mile beach called "Royal Palm." It was $4pp each way. The beach is free to go to. You can rent chairs/umbrellas, but I can't remember how much cause we just put our towels on the sand. There is also an outdoor bar with a DJ spinning tunes. When you're ready to go back to the ship, there will once again be plenty of taxis hanging around to take you back.

Have fun!!!!

Taxis are waiting at the tender area ($4-$5 pp), a bus depot is a short walk away ($2-$3 pp). There are three main facilities with restrooms, chairs & umbrella rentals, watersports rentals, showers and food & beverages that cater to day-trippers - Royal Palms (now has a pool), SeaGrape/Public Beach (pictured above) with Calico Jacks and Tiki Beach.

Walking is possible, but not practical (too far and too hot for most people).

Here is a STICKY that has a bunch of info.
