Elation vs Ecstasy

Hubby and I are planning our next cruise for this October. We are within about 10 hours drive of both Mobile and New Orleans and have cruised out of both ports previously. We can't decide between the Ecstasy out of NOLA or the Elation out of Mobile - both go to Cozumel and either Progresso or Calica (both of which we have visited before).

 

We have cruised on the Holiday, Fantasy and Triumph in recent years and found something on each of those that we liked.

 

ANyone have any preferences, Elation vs Ecstasy??????

Haven't been on Elation, but Ecstasy is great!

Been on her 4 times in Galveston and our last time with her will be New Orleans in October. Then she will be out of our reach.

I was on the Elation 5 years ago and liked it alot. Have been on the Ecstasy twice, last time being a year ago. Ecstasy is not my favorite but many people love it.

I could be wrong, but I believe that I read somewhere that Carnival has discontinued using Mobile as an embarkation port. Can someone provide the right info?

Go on the Elation for one last cruise out of Mobile. She is a beautiful ship. We are hoping to book this week for the Oct 3 cruise, the last cruise going to Calica.

We have been on both and enjoyed both experiences. I did really enjoy the Elation...I am not sure exactly why I liked this ship more. Most likely because it was my first cruise..and it is on this ship that I became addicted :)
