Waitlisted dining

What does this mean?

 

We are looking at booking another cruise but it says "Waitlisted"

 

We have never come across this before, what are the chances of getting the dining option? What happens if you don't?

It means your dining time selected is already filled. You can check to see what number you are on the waitlist if you call Princess (or have your TA check).

If you don't clear the waitlist, see the Maitre D' onboard that first day (the time he is available should be listed in the Princess Patter when you board), and see if he can accomodate your choice. ;) Many times, traditional dining fills up quickly and you must book your cruise early to get traditional at the times you would like. If you do not clear the waitlist, then you will usually be put into Anytime Dining ( I am assuming you picked one of the Traditional choices). If your ship does not have AD, you would be put into the other TD.

If you can't get the time you want, just use anytime dining.

We always chose anytime dining because that way you meet and eat with different people almost every night and you set your own time to eat. If you are busy having fun doing something or aren't ready to eat you just go when you want. Works great for us.
