Time Changes - Island Vs Boat

This sounds kind of like an word problem from grade school math...

If we are going out of Miami on celebrity on April 2 and Docking in Cozumel on April 5 what will the time difference between the ship and the island be (if any)?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the ship and how they like to handle time changes.

If they decide to change the ships time you will get a note in your cabin at turn down. It will also be in the daily.

Regardless of what time you are in any port, always keep your watch on ships time! :p

You are right! I don't know why I was thinking 13 instead of 3. So on your day Cozumel will only be one hour behind ships time.

Not all cruise lines stay on ships time. Some actually change with the local time. Although I've never experienced that on a cruise. I would look at Celebrity's website and see if that info is in their FAQs.

So the ships always stay on the departing port's time?

Thanks for the responses

For the last several years it seems that the ships are just maintaining the originating port time for Caribbean cruises. I know that some years ago we would get a note on our pillow at night regarding time changes.

On one Mexican Riviera cruise we had 4 changes on an 8 night cruise:rolleyes: The nice part was we got an hour back on the last night of the cruise - a 25 hour day:D
