Captain's Club status

Does anyone know when a move to the next level of the Captains Club status becomes effective. Currently have Select status, but our next Back-to-Back cruise will put us at the Elite level. Does the Elite status take effect on either of these cruises or not until the next cruise we book?

The move to the next level takes effect on the cruise after you achieve that level. You will be elite on the next cruise you book.

It takes place immediately after you complete the cruise that gives you enough credits to be elite. If you will have enough credits after the first cruise, see the captains club representative during that trip so that you are upgraded on the second portion of your back to back.
